A KDP preflight checklist

Most KDP rejections are avoidable.

• Trim size matches the cover template
• Gutter margin fits the page count
• Fonts are embedded
• Images are at least 300 dpi
• Bleed is set only when art touches the edge
• Page count is within paper limits
• No text sits inside the safe-area margin
• Chapter openers fall on the right-hand page

Coquilly's preflight runs these checks against the generated PDF and reports each one with a pass, warning or fail.
