Why authors should only ever suggest
When the author opens their chapter, everything they type becomes a suggestion. Nothing they do can silently overwrite the draft.
The ghostwriter decides
Each suggestion can be accepted, rejected or edited. Accepting is one click. Rejecting leaves a record. The author sees the status of every suggestion they made.
Versions keep the receipts
Every state change snapshots the chapter. A word-level diff shows exactly what moved between any two versions, so nobody has to wonder what changed.
